Just before Departure

My previous family was celebrating a reunion with pictures; this family was anticipating the departure of their oldest as she headed off to college. So the mom wanted family photos of everyone together before their daughter left.

Family photoshoots are wonderful milestone markers, and I’m always honored to document them for families.

This was a quick mini-shoot session. Initially, the family wanted the senior plus family mini-shoot package since I took her senior photos last fall, but schedules did not allow it. (Can’t believe that was almost a year ago!!)

I’m glad we could fit in this quick session in the late summer because of the beautiful Queen Anne’s Lace flowers in bloom. Although they are technically a weed, they act as a gorgeous backdrop.

This college-bound girl was counting the days until she headed toward her new adventure in life. I hope the adjustment for all goes well!
